About this product
Built for harsh Australian worksites and FIFO travel conditions, the Rugged Xtremes FIFO Travel Backpack combines heavy-duty durability with smart organisation and all-weather protection. Designed by a family-owned Australian brand with over 20 years of industry experience, this backpack is made from tough canvas with reflective safety panels for improved visibility in low-light environments.
Engineered for long shifts and travel, it features breathable air-mesh padded back support and adjustable shoulder straps to reduce fatigue and improve comfort. Compression straps allow you to secure and compact the load for easier transport.
This backpack is designed for real FIFO and worksite conditions, including a built-in fold-away rain cover stored under the base of the bag, providing instant protection in wet weather when you need it most.
Storage is highly organised and work-ready. It includes a padded rear laptop compartment, a main compartment with internal mesh organiser pockets, and multiple front pockets for valuables, phones, pens, and tools. A dedicated key clip ensures essentials stay secure and accessible.
Security and protection features include a rear RFID-protected pocket, lockable zippers, and multiple secure valuables compartments. Practical additions include dual side mesh bottle holders fitting up to 1200ml bottles, an integrated ID pouch, and a hard moulded protective glasses case on the front for worksite safety.
A secure clip-on body strap provides extra stability during travel, while the padded top handle allows for easy carrying. Available in 6 colours, this is a premium FIFO backpack built for durability, organisation, and all-weather performance.

Fantastic work bag , came within two days of ordering
Best part was the description of the feature of the bag , that helped me navigate what the bag has
A
I love my new bag it’s very sturdy and comfortable to wear to and at work.
The best thing I’ve found is that all the pockets and individual storage areas maintain their shape and size very well no matter how much or how little you put in any of them.
Makes the packing for any work day so much easier. 👍🏻
And the Hi Vis really pops out when the light hits it in the right spot. 🙂

This would be my 5th purchase with Rugged Extremes in a period of about 15 years. I usually get anywhere between 3-4 years out of a bag. That to me is money well spent and very good value for money and quality. So, hats off to you Rugged Extremes.
A
Great product, although thought it would be bigger. Also needs to be more rigid across the back. As when hung it sags to the middle front. But otherwise good product.
A
Quick delivery time , and well constructed bag
A
Well made fits everything you need for your swing easily
D
I haven’t used it yet but it looks to have a lot of space and is compact enough for me to have everything in one place and it all fit in a locker to leave at camp
S
It’s good but could do with the loops either side of bag as well as middle
D
For FIFO, I’d give the Rugged Xtremes Toiletry Bag 8.5/10. Tough canvas, plenty of storage and the hanging design is perfect for camp bathrooms. A little heavier and bulkier than necessary, but built to last.
A
Purchased this for my partner, he loves it! He was looking for one he could use that had enough separation he wouldn’t have to search through for what he needed and he has everything he needs with this one!
B
It’s made to last! Built will big zips and handles. A great bit of kit
S
I'm a truck driver and swap between different trucks everyday. So I needed one bag that would fit what I need in terms of lunch, water, snacks and my logbook + clipboard. Absolutely works well and great quality bag.

This toiletries bag folds up to a flat pack which helps with packing my bag.
A lot of space inside.
S
This is the best site-based backpack I've ever found. Everything about it is well thought out.
Hoping to see their connect mods attach to this model in the future.
M
Its a good bag, very sturdy. I did get a surprise at its weight when first delivered and empty but I guess that because of its intent to be very solid and protect against the elements.
I recommend this bag for site
S
This back pack is the best! You don’t even know your computer is in it and it has so much space for everything! Surprisingly when you put it in the overhead cabinet on flights it folds well and always sits.
D
This bag is awesome. Fits everything I need for my shift and more.
